Our client, a major urban record company, is looking to recruit a Product Manager to help coordinate and manage projects from conception to release.


Key responsibilities:

  • Work with Label Head to plan a timeline and write a marketing plan for each project.
  • Maintain an up-to-date budget for each project in conjunction with the Label Head.
  • Work with artists and managers to come up with a creative direction, including photo shoots, commissioning and asset creation.
  • Work closely with Label Head and designer to deliver artwork as approved by the artist.
  • Source label copy, working with production to bring products to market to the correct spec and budget.
  • Communicate with all relevant teams about project and campaign progress.
  • Work with the Label Head on creative concepts for campaigns and working with media agencies to oversee delivery.
  • Liaise with the digital marketing team and artist management on creative ideas for the artist’s digital presence and asset creation.
  • Keep track of the latest digital and media developments and ensure their incorporation into digital campaigns.
  • Update the commercial sales team on all project developments and tools they need to maximise sales.
  • Liaise with the promo team on all UK artist promo runs, managing costs within budget and making travel and logistical arrangements as required.
  • Liaise with international marketing team to keep them up to date on all UK projects.
  • Liaise with artist management and sales team regarding tour stock orders for live dates, and where possible ensuring barcode scanners are supplied so that sales can be UK chart eligible.
  • Work with the Label Head to plan ticket buys for shows and festivals, ensuring guest-lists include all key personnel.
  • Plan and organise regular meetings for active projects, including preparing agendas and advance debriefing with the Label Head.



  • Passion for urban music.
  • Relevant music industry experience.
  • Good understanding and experience of major label release process.
  • Understanding of UK music marketing.
  • Relevant urban music, marketing and creative contacts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
  • The ability to learn quickly and use own initiative.
  • Ability to remain calm when working under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Hard working and enthusiastic team player.
  • Keen to develop within the field of marketing.
  • Passion for contemporary culture and creative work.
  • Record company experience, particularly in production or digital/social media     area.
