Our client, a major UK record label is looking for a strategicand entrepreneurial Marketing Director for their marketing team to managesenior relationships across the industry both internally and externally,domestically and globally.

 

Key Responsibilitieswill include:

  • Developing and     implementing campaign strategies both on and offline for the label’s acts     and brand.
  • Representing     the Marketing team at senior level in meetings across the business and     deputising for the Managing     Director and working with the MD on artists sales forecasts
  • . Working     alongside the Director of Promotions and Senior A&R Director to ensure     that story-telling and tools created are representative of the artist’s     personality and also suit broadcasters and can be translated for multiple     audience pools
  • Maximise the     sales potential of any artists under the label’s remit
  • Liaising     with management, artists and other territories to ensure campaigns roll     out effectively and keeping the international team updated on UK strategy
  • Liaising with     sales and securing the best profile in digital and physical stores.
  • Driving     focus within the team on reaching promotional, online, chart and sales     targets for each artist campaign and devising new ways to create content     for artists and partner platforms
  • Leading and     motivating the marketing team, ensuring the team is focused on delivering     effective marketing campaigns and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Driving     innovation in the digital space, ensuring the label consistently strives     to deliver relevant and efficient fully rounded campaigns
  • Keeping up to     date with changes and happenings in the market, with particular emphasis     on the  entertainment industry,     competitors, innovation, new formats and campaigns

 

Candidate Requirements:

·        Experience as an adept business leader andsolid senior marketing experience within a frontline label managing a busy teamessential as is a current working knowledge of domestic and international musicmarkets

·        Well developed international and domesticrelationships within the music and entertainment industries

·        Direct campaign experience for multi platform,global priority artist campaigns /weekly chart pushes and competitive streamingapproaches

·        Experience planning multiple budgets and costsassociated with marketing

·        Understanding of market forces and how to bestposition artists towards relevant markets

·        Proven experience in delivering creative andcost effective integrated traditional and online strategy through applicationof audience insight

·        Comfortable with P&L management and thebusiness planning process

·        Able to identify value adding opportunities

·        Able to see the big picture and providesolutions which consider the strategic objectives

·        Strong organisational skills

·        Can adapt and work within a changing market

·        Can quickly build credible workingrelationships

·        Ability to coach others to understand andembrace the changing environment and digital landscape

·        Strong decision making abilities

·        Can inspire and motivate creative processes inteams of people

·        Able to take on and solve complex problems

·        Excellent negotiator

·        Can manage remote/multi territoryrelationships effectively
