Our client, successful talent management company, is seeking a Management Accountant, TV Distribution & Production to provide comprehensive financial support.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts, variance analysis and associated commentary.
- Preparing a quarterly VAT return.
- Leading the preparation of bi-annual residual and participation reporting.
- Reviewing and approving weekly payment runs.
- Controlling the company’s balance sheet to include creditors, debtors, cash accrued income and accruals.
- Ensuring transactions are processed within the company’s control framework. Taking responsibility for the appropriate classification and recognition of income and profit for multiple revenue streams relating to the company’s IP.
- Serving as the main point of contact within the company for ad hoc queries, the preparation of financial forecasting, contractual payments regarding completed sales, and general finance queries to various departments.
- Acting as the main point of contact for annual company audits.
- Providing line management to the Finance Assistant.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable ability to maintain a robust control environment.
- Substantial work experience within accounting.
- Work experience within royalites.
- Strong analytical abilities and scenario model and forecast.
- Able to meet deadlines using effective organisational skills.
- Able to manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Willingness to work as part of a team.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Knowledge of PACT Equity & WGGB agreements.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using NetSuite is desirable.
