Our client, a global music company is seeking an HR Business Partner to fill this exciting generalist role.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting on employee relational issues, providing day-to-day support, coaching and assisting to all staff.
  • Collaborating with business unit heads to optimise employee performance and productivity, as well as dealing with general operational HR issues more generally.
  • Actively advising on policy and employment law, working with line managers to regulate performance management processes.
  • Influencing stakeholders on optimal organisational design, workforce design and talent planning.
  • Complying with commercial and legal requirements on matters such as redundancy consultation and delivering management restructures.
  • Dealing with short, or long-term absence issues with the help of line management.
  • Ensuring team members are all working at their best through effective coaching of management.
  • Assisting with recruitment along with Talent Acquisition team, in recognition of diversity and inclusion policies.
  • Collaborate with Learning &Organisational Development team to curate plans for specified development needs, as well as providing guidance more generally on related matters.
  • Reviewing viability of changes of working hours as well as work flexibility requests.
  • Assisting the on boarding process of new employees, to include any development needs they might have and probationary forms or action issues as appropriate.
  • Working with relevant departments to review salary and bonus reviews for designated groups.
  • Delivering strategic HR objectives through project work action to include process and policy reviews.
  • Collaborating with Senior HR on any issues pertaining to mergers, company acquisitions TUPE or relocations.
  • Guiding HR assistants on administrative matters including probationary reviews, promotion letters,changes to employment terms and payroll.
  • Providing coaching and development to the HR team.

Requirements:

  • Interest in the music industry is a plus.
  • Substantive experience working at HR BP level within the creative industries, ideally entertainment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience of coaching,working with senior management on a regular basis, as well as working autonomously.
  • Sound knowledge of employment law, significant experience applying this when advising day-to-day.
  • Intermediate level in MS Word,Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using HR systems.
  • Team player, adaptable and resilient is essential.
  • Previous experience in talent,performance, and change management (including TUPE, restructuring and redundancy).
  • Experience discipline and grievance issues.
