Our client, a hugely successful boxing promotions company, is seeking a Head of PR to support the business in a time of expansion.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Enhancing the company’s brand across mainstream and specialist media with effective implementation of marketing strategies.
• Building the company’s brand presence across traditional and digital media channels, both editorial and paid.
• Cultivating relationships with key media and influential professionals.
• Promoting the company’s events and brand using interviews and press releases.
• Arranging all paid media partnerships and ensuring brand consistency throughout.
• Organising press events and their associated media.
• Managing media accreditation for all live events.
• Assigning tasks and projects to the PR team and other agencies.
• Monitoring media coverage and updating inaccuracies as needed.
• Reporting on all PR activity and applying learnings to future activities.
• Monitoring the PR team’s performance and setting objectives.
Requirements:
• Proven track record working within a media company, relevant brand, or PR agency.
• Excellent project management skills and able to work to tight deadlines.
• Thorough understanding of the UK’s media landscape and boxing industry and extensive contacts within the boxing world.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Exemplary creative writing skills.
• Experience driving promotional narratives.
• Demonstrable team management skills.
• Ability to foster long-term relationships with key professionals.
