Our client, an innovative record label and music publisher, acquiring back catalogue rights. is seeking an experienced and ambitious Financial Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management, accounting and forecasting and play a critical role in overseeing the financial health of the business, working with internal and external teams to ensure controls and processes in place.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Providing oversight of the business’ financial condition.

· Overseeing the production of monthly management accounts.

· Reporting on detailed variance analysis.

· Assisting with the preparation of monthly Board packs which include the royalty ledger analysis.

· Working with the internal finance team to identify trends in earning, and underlying drivers of forecast variances.

· Providing regular reporting to external investors to include covenant reporting, catalogue acquisition reporting, dealing with independent valuations, and debt documentation.

· Preparing annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and detailed variance analysis.

· Working with the in-house Data Specialist to provide input regarding complex data sources on behalf of clients.

· Working with internal team and external accountants to modify processes that maximise efficiency.

· Working on ad-hoc projects with the Head of Operations.

Requirements:

· ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualifications essential.

· Financial management, accounting, and forecasting experience.

· Experience working in a business that is scaling up and has a global orientation.

· Music industry experience is advantageous.

· Advanced Microsoft Excel.

· Proficient with business intelligence and analytics software.

· In-depth knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods (FP&A focussed).

· Strong interpersonal skills.

· Results driven, proactive, analytical approach.
