Our client, a global music company, is seeking a confident Finance Assistant to provide administrative support to the finance team.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the finance department with month end reconciliations, journal preparation, internal reporting, management accounts and internal management booklet and head office reporting.
  • Supporting the FC in ensuring the maintenance of the general ledger.
  • Collaborating with management to approve authorised marketing and overhead budgets.
  • Handling the authorisation and approval of budgets, purchase orders, and sundry requisitions.
  • Day to day maintenance of forecast model.
  • Ad hoc analyses as directed by senior colleagues.
  • Liaising with various finance teams to ensure timely payments to suppliers.
  • Acting as main point of support for enquiries regarding the purchase order system.
  • Providing financial coding to the business and central finance teams.
  • Arranging urgent payments and communicate weekly payment schedule to business.
  • Maintaining requests for usage of Finance Director’s company credit card and reconcile statement.
  • Maintaining the release schedule information with updates.
  • Ensuring the timely processing of ticket requisitions and invoices.
  • Sharing general enquiries, archiving and post duties with other team members.
  • Providing administrative support to senior colleagues to include meeting preparation.


  • Experience working within a finance department, ideally across media/music industries.
  • Commenced a CIMA / ACCA qualification.
  • IT skills which include solid proficiency Microsoft Office systems such as Excel and Word.
  • Software knowledge of SAP, Business Objects, and Hyperion desirable.
  • Capable of managing workload in a high-pressure work environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Solid communicator across all levels of the organisation.
