Our client, a digital political publication is seeking a Commercial Manager to help with the next stage in the company’s growth.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Identifying market opportunities for savvy commercial exploitation.
- Monetising under-valued media assets.
- Delivering innovative commercial solutions that cater to the online media landscape.
- Formulating strategic partnerships and joint ventures in media.
- Cultivating strategic relationships with advertisers and commercial partners.
- Delivering sales pitches both online and in person.
- Developing media products for sale, using understanding of social media, video, and podcasting.
- Customising pricing/rates cards for revenue optimisation, to include fill rates, CPMs etc.
- Interpreting and presenting data to feedback to clients.
Requirements:
- Experience offering commercial solutions and formulating strategic partnerships in the media industry essential.
- Solid background identifying market opportunities across digital technologies (social, podcast, video etc).
- Proven track record of fostering relationships with advertisers/sponsors.
- Demonstrable experience of selling directly to clients.
- Results orientated and commercial mindset.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Highly organised and flexible approach to work.
- Experience within digital ad operations and operational processes for a publisher/agency desirable.
- Possess sell and buy-side experience desirable.
- Experience managing in-person and online ticketed events ideal.
