Our client, a global record company is looking for an experienced Radio Promotions Manager to join their team.

Main responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Continuing to build an up-to-date and state-of-the art network of contacts within radio, both regionally and nationally.
  • Putting together strategies and campaigns to establish, artist & label profile on radio.
  • Regular phone contact, combined with meetings designed to convince and/or persuade the support of radio producers.
  • Getting key radio contacts to see showcases/live gigs.
  • Keeping the President, up to date with radio shows / stations coming on / off air and how appropriate they are for our artists.
  • Setting up all radio sessions, tours and interviews including the hiring of all equipment etc.
  • Accompanying artists to all radio promotional activity.
  • Taking singles to playlist at all appropriate radio stations both nationally and regionally.
  • Liaising with Managers, Tour Managers, Sound Engineers, Researchers, Producers, Directors and A&R to organise dates, stage plan, equipment lists, lyrics, channel lists, guest lists and ensuring bands/hired equipment arrives on time.
  • Build and manage relationships with all radio promotional personnel


The ideal candidate must:

  • Have extensive experience within radio plugging, experience in the MOR market and proven contacts at Radio 2
  • Have experience in similar promotional role with a track record of successfully devising strategies for records.
  • Have experience in pitching new and up-and-coming acts to radio
  • Understand costs, logistical requirements and details involved in radio promotions.
  • Have proven ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues and external contacts; existing relationships with radio stations advantageous.
  • Be able to identify opportunities, assess risks and make calculated decisions to further the progress of campaigns.
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills with people at all levels.
  • Be diligent with a strong attention to detail, highly organised and flexible with excellent co-ordination/administration skills.
