Our client, a global music company is looking for an experienced and energetic Streaming Curator to drive plays of Classics & Jazz music across key streaming services.

 

Main responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Manage global playlists - Curate and create global priority playlists on continual publication cycle.
  • Run, develop and actively manage and update all consumer-facing playlists; ensuring they are fit for purpose and continually identify areas of improvement.
  • Work with content teams in labels, and catalogue divisions to listen and choose music which works both editorially and algorithmically.
  • Identify new playlist and online radio opportunities across multiple platforms, such as Spotify, Apple, Amazon, Google/YouTube and new services as they come to market.
  • Monitor streaming data constantly, including measuring and optimising engagement, reacting positively and dynamically to analytics.
  • Run weekly curation forum with Streaming Marketing Manager and labels and territories.
  • Curate playlists and track suggestions for digital campaigns and promotions with partners 
  • Identify marketing opportunities for playlists with partners and work with digital teams to activate plans.
  • Work with Streaming Marketing Manager and International Marketing team to ensure curation forms part of frontline marketing strategy.

The successful candidate must:

  • Be confident, hardworking and outgoing with a strong sense of personal drive, with a proven proactive approach to their career.
  • Be a music and data enthusiast with passion for detail and musical interest in all genres. 
  • Have expertise in the creative and technical process of making and developing playlists.
  • Have sound understanding of streaming music services and landscape.
  • Be well organised with the ability to plan and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Have excellent attention to detail, with the ability to interpret analytical and complex data.
  • Have experience of working on own as well as part of a team, and with colleagues at all levels.
  • Be a to remain calm in an often-pressured environment.
  • Have excellent IT skills; must be proficient in PowerPoint or KeyNote, and Excel.
