Our client, a leading global entertainment company, is looking for a Director of Digital Operations to support the business, focusing on the EMEA region. This department facilitates ingestion, encoding and the distribution of the company’s digital content to digital retail and distribution channels and supports the company by introducing and implementing globally scalable, efficient processes and services.

The main duties of the role will include:

  • Managing teams in line with best practices and processes
  • Being the lead point of contact for all EMEA labels and territories
  • Owning and managing the end-to-end digital supply chain operations on behalf of, as well as driving plans for change and managing expectations of EMEA stakeholders
  • Assessing the provision of metadata to a consistently high quality
  • Providing technical and best practice expertise
  • Understanding local variations in territorial legalities and rights with regards to music distribution and finding supply chain solutions to meet requirements
  • Managing the onboarding of new business partners and the implementation of new product lines
  • Regularly attending meetings with key business partners
  • Establishing internal digital supply chain meetings
  • Identifying areas for improvement within the global supply chain system and process development areas, and driving a continuous service improvement plan
  • Providing regional operational impact assessment of new requirements and changes

The successful candidate must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent with successful experience within digital operations, supply chain environments and systems,
  • Previous experience being the central coordination/communication point for various stakeholders as well as managing and mentoring staff, taking leadership and ownership
  • The ability to educate and promote improvements and initiatives and drive customer service
  • Strong project management, facilitation, influencing, analysis and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-moving, demanding and flexible business and technology environment
  • Excellent knowledge of record industry business processes
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and Word, experience with Access desirable

The successful candidate must be:

  • Able to read/parse XML including DDEX ERN and iTunes XML specifications and to project and issue tracking tools like JIRA
  • Comfortable with technical, operational and commercial aspects and mechanisms of digital content management and distribution
  • An assertive and hands-on team player
  • Interested in and involved with innovation and technology across industries
