Our client, an iconic music facility and brand, is looking for a Buyer to support their Retail Operations Manager.

The main responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Strategically planning and developing ranges and sourcing products to sell both instore and online
  • Maximising sales and profit opportunities and ensuring commercial objectives are achieved
  • Working closely with suppliers, developing samples, managing relationships and reviewing performance
  • Working out cost prices, margins, budgets, recommending selling prices, determining the correct pricing strategy for all ranges and exploiting OTB opportunities
  • Researching and monitoring current market activity and customer trends
  • Delivering cost-effective supply solutions
  • Communicating trading issues and forecasts with proposed actions
  • Planning availability schedule for new and continuity product

The ideal candidate will have a background in Buying and Merchandising as well as Visitor Attraction/Gifts in a retail environment. They must also possess:

  • A proven track record in successfully developing product ranges and procuring goods and services
  • Strong commercial knowledge and awareness
  • An excellent understanding of marketing planning and promotional campaign management
  • Strong IT skills and mathematical competency
